Respite, or scheduled short-term stay,
is a service provided for people who care for a family member in their home or in the community.
Many times the caregiver may need a break from their responsibilities or may become ill themselves and, as a result, they need temporary help with
their caregiving. Respite is intended to fill this need. A caregiver can attend a family
occasion, take a vacation, or recuperate from an illness, secure in the knowledge
that their family member is being well cared for in a secured environment,
by a professional staff specially trained to meet the needs of our Respite Residents.
How Long Can I Stay ?
You can arrange to stay for up to 30 days.
It is recommended that you make your reservations as far
in advance as possible to ensure that you can be accommodated.
How is Respite Care Paid For ?
Medicaid, with some restrictions, will pay for Respite or
caregivers can pay privately.
